Comm 2460 Strategy

My original plan for this page is was to follow the election process and debates. I plan to create coinciding social media pages like Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.
I will find and create relevant and engaging post that are educating as well.
I hope to build interaction by asking for others to post videos of them participating in the elections as well as any questions they might have.

Recap: I have done all these things to an extent. I was relaxed in my attack and didn't always take the opportune time to post content. I did make other pages and then connect them with my page. I eventually created a personal email for felons can vote and linked it to all of the accounts I had. I lack a lot of knowledge in how to work twitter, but I tried. I did open an Instagram and Pinterest for this page but lacked the effort required it took to really get these pages off to the races like I would have preferred. I started to learn how to link one page to another as well as make other pages on my blog.

I ran into trouble early on when I found that there was a blog with the name felons can vote already on blogger, but the owner was not doing anything with it. I attempted to contact them and either ask them for the name or to allow me to post comments on their blog to gain more readers that way. I read that if I were to post comments on other already established blogs, it would accomplish two things for me. One: I could potentially draw some of that blog readers to my page and Two: it would lend credibility to my page if I could, in turn, get the author of the other page to comment and acknowledge my blog.
After multiple attempts at making contact I was unsuccessful in my efforts to make contact with other bloggers.

I did figure out after many failed attempts hope to write and insert meta tags in the code of my blog. I researched on other sites how to create traffic, and this was one of the suggestions.

I also found certain sites I could sign up for and create a campaign that in there would allow me to create traffic. I even wrote an ad on Google for my site but was unwilling to spend the 30 dollars to publish it.
 As of this post I have not made any podcast that are post worthy, I do hope to do so very soon.

In closing I believe with more motivation and effort on my part, I could have had an interesting site.
I had the perfect storm for creating interesting feedback and content with the past election. I wouldn't say I have completely missed my window, but it's definitely shutting.

I plan to change direction and make any more post more about the disenfranchisement of felons. To make my page a place that a felon or interested party may go to find out what programs are available for them as well as support for the hard road of reintegrating back into a society that has put in place so many roadblocks.
